Dear MLK Families, 

I hope this message finds you well.  I am sending this message to inform you that due to the extremely cold temperatures we have had over the past few days the main water line at MLK froze, thus causing the need to shut off the water.  Our Buildings and Grounds Team, as well as outside contractors, have worked hard but have determined that the line cannot be fixed tonight.  As a result, MLK will not be open tomorrow, Friday, January 30, 2026,  for faculty or students.  We will switch to a remote school day for MLK only. 

MLK scholars will not be able to attend AM SCOPE, PM SCOPE, or NY Edge tomorrow either.

Please have all scholars log into their Google Classroom at 9:00 am for a remote day of learning.  The Principal of MLK, Dr. Habersham, will provide a schedule of the day.  Please be on the look out for the schedule in ParentSquare.
