MLK, Jr. Elementary receives support for student success

Teachers from Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School gained $5,000 in support to strengthen instruction for students and provide new educational resources.
The contribution was presented to Superintendent Dr. Erik Wright and MLK Principal Dr. Monique Habersham during a community event at the grand opening of the Burlington store in Massapequa.
“This contribution is truly beneficial,” said Dr. Habersham. “These funds will directly impact our classrooms, giving teachers more resources and tools to ensure student success.”
The donation to MLK was made through Burlington’s partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org, which connects schools with funding for supplies and materials that directly benefit students.
Superintendent Dr. Erik Wright expressed his gratitude for the partnership. “We are committed to ensuring every child has the tools they need to succeed in school. Support like this helps our educators provide the best possible learning experience for our students.”
