Wyandanch Memorial High School Hosts Annual College Fair

Representatives from more than 80 colleges, universities, branches of the military and trade schools filled the Wyandanch Memorial High School gymnasium as the guidance department hosted its annual spring college fair for juniors and seniors.

Giving scholars firsthand insight into the different academic programs, cultures and career opportunities available to them, the college fair is designed to create an environment where the 11th and 12th graders could explore the future of their academic journeys while surrounded by peers and staff members.

“The guidance department is committed to empowering our scholars and providing them with pathways to success,” said Tiffany Kee, lead guidance counselor. “We have found our college fair allows our scholars to explore the different educational options available after graduation with confidence and in an environment they are familiar with.”

Juniors and seniors were encouraged to come prepared with questions about the application process, acceptance criteria, tuition and scholarship opportunities, as well as an open mind as they spoke to the different representatives and explored the different opportunities that await them post-graduation day.
