Teachers and staff at Wyandanch Union Free School District’s Lafrancis Hardiman Annex happily welcomed the district’s littlest learners to their first day of pre-kindergarten on Sept. 12.
Assistant Principal Dianna Rivera happily greeted parents and helped escort the scholars to their classrooms, while teachers helped students hang up their new backpacks and settle into their seats for the day.
“We are happy to be able to offer a pre-kindergarten program for the littlest learners in the Wyandanch community,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Gina Talbert. “As we welcome these scholars to the Lafrancis Hardiman Annex, our administrators and educators are working diligently to build a love for learning among our scholars and implementing an early childhood education curriculum that is essential to build strong academic success.”
The Lafrancis Hardiman Annex pre-kindergarten program provides Wyandanch scholars with opportunities to cultivate their love of learning through technology, literacy, peer leadership and the arts.
