Wyandanch Family Participates in Shopping Spree Courtesy of Phoenix Suns’ Deandre Ayton

Wyandanch Memorial High School Principal, Mr. Paul Sibblies, helped facilitate a surprise shopping spree for a Wyandanch family in need at the PUMA flagship store in New York City.

The shopping spree, which was granted to the Haywood/Smith family of six from Wyandanch, was done in conjunction with Phoenix Suns’ DeAndre Ayton and the Steve and Marjorie Harvey Foundation.

“Giving back means the most to me and my family,” wrote DeAndre Ayton on Twitter. “I was happy to help the Haywood/Smith family through the Steve & Marjorie Harvey Foundation with a surprise shopping spree for the holidays at Puma in New York city.”

Mr. Sibblies, who has participated in the Steve Harvey Mentoring Program since 2019 as a virtual program host, was asked to identify a family in need and chose the Haywood/Smith family for this exciting opportunity.

“I am thrilled to be a part of the Steve and Marjorie Harvey Foundation’s efforts, and appreciate the generosity of DeAndre Ayton,” said Principal Paul Sibblies. “It brings me great joy to be able to help give back and fulfill a need for the Haywood/Smith family. “

The Steve Harvey Mentoring Program teaches the principles of manhood to young men around the world to help them realize their potential and envision and prepare for a robust and productive future.
